A new plugin for gvSIG 2.0 that allows to load layers coming from Oracle Spatial geodatabases has been released by the gvSIG Association.
Different from the 1.x versions of gvSIG, the 2.0 version includes an interesting improvement when loading layers coming from PostGIS or Oracle Spatial geodatabases, where there is no preprocess dealing with row IDs. Because of that they are instantly visible although a work area is not stablished. For installing this plugin you have to open the Add-ons Manager in gvSIG 2.0, selecting the "By URL" option and "http://downloads.gvsig.org/download/gvsig-desktop/"; (in the next days it will be available in the other gvSIG repositories). Finally you have to select the "Oracle Spatial/Locator connector" package.
