Hello everyone, We are pleased to announce a new build of the 3D gvSIG extension which is available at [1]. This build works on gvSIG 1.9 stable (build 1253) available at [2].
In addition to the improvements shown in the 5th International Conference, this build(11) showcases a remarkable feature: its installation overrides the raster libraries which were causing problems in Windows Vista/Windows 7. Also, the full application is offered as a "dmg" for MacOSX, working on Leopard as well as SnowLeopard, allowing to load raster layers supported by gdal. Among the new features, we shall emphasize: - New kernel version integrated (osgVP-2.2.0). - Improved memory management . - Added new symbology system. - Various display modes, including stereo and fullscreen. Here, in the ai2 (Instituto de Automática e Informática Industrial), we have created an unofficial gvSIG 3D blog, which contains news, tutorials and examples of the application's features.
