I concur. This is good news. It was horrible to have Apple mess with the Java standards and deploy Java as some sort of pimped up system service instead of a regular JVM. Good thing that's over. In the future, we can focus on shipping gvSIG with the OpenJDK port. GvSIG OADE on Mac OS X (10.6) is fully supported, as Chris says. It also includes GRASS GIS and we will continue to release Mac OS X versions along with Linux and Windows versions in the future. Get it here:
