That's life... when you try to include new software, in a small compagny with limited ressources, the only way to make it feasable is by making a smooth transition. When you are with esri and hundred of project already done with many gigabytes of file geodatabase data, you can't just change everyting. The move from arcview project to arcgis projects is not even completed after five years so... at leat if data are compatible...
I know, that's all in esri hand... but... at last esri info, they supposed to release for the end of 2010 (know promise before but this time...)
