Hello, Yes, I'm afraid the measurement tool is intended for linestrings and polygons (not multi-linestrings or multi-polygons).
Regarding labels, both options are true: adding labeling to the current version of gvSIG Mobile is very easy (do you have a workspace yourself?). And yes, gvSIG Mobile 1.0 will include this feature.
