We have the pleasure to invite you to the First French-speaking gvSIG users Conference, that will be held in Rennes (France) the 1st July 2011 [1].
With more than 6 years of experience the gvSIG Project has taken an important area at the geomatic world. At the Univerity of Rennes 2, this project has been adopted because it gives response to their pedagogical needs for introductory geomatic sciences, and also for activities related to researchment. As it has happened in other parts of the world, we invite you to participate in an interchange conference about the different uses of gvSIG at the French-speaking area with the aim of study the current situation of that community. At this conference, organized in Rennes (France) for the 1st July, institutions that have used gvSIG for their activities (researchment and development, training, IT development, etc.) and the thSIG Association will have the say. The conference will be free of charge, and open for everybody who want to participate. We are grateful for your participation. En plus de 6 années d'existence, le projet gvSIG a pris une place originale dans le paysage géomatique. A l'Université de Rennes 2 ils on adopté ce projet car il répond à leur besoins pédagogiques pour l'initiation à la géomatique mais aussi au titre de la recherche. A l'image de ce qui a déjà été entrepris dans d'autres pays, nous vous sollicitons aujourd'hui pour participer à une journée d'échanges sur les usages de gvSIG dans le monde francophone afin d'en dresser un bilan. Tout au long de cette journée organisée à Rennes (France) le vendredi 1er juillet 2011, la parole sera donnée à des structures qui ont mobilisé gvSIG dans le cadre de leurs activités courantes (recherche-développement, formation, développement informatique, usage en production, etc.), et à l'Association gvSIG.
