and recognized that is pretty much the same issues, promised to be fixed in gvSIG version 1.12. When can we expect 1.12 to come...? BTW - a workaround for the "\" issue is to use the regular slash "/" instead. Nowadays windows accepts the slash for path entries as well, so one can refer to pictures in gvSIG that way either.
