Hi,

I've checked the getCapabilities [1] and the version is set to 1.3.0. Did you added the server to gvSIG Mini through the LayersActivity? If so, it probably took the 1.3.0 version that is currently not supported.

You can try changing the geoserver configuration so the layers are served through WMS version 1.1.1 or look for /sdcard/gvSIG/layers.txt and locate your "zipcodes" layer configuration. There you can change one of the last parameters from 1.3.0 to 1.1.1
