What I did ?was to open LibeOffice Calc, copy your table and save it as dbf;
the in gvSIG I load this table, go to Add event layer and put Long for x and
Lat for y. It should work.

Asunto: [Gvsig_english] Error Messages

When I try to make the following data in a CSV file into a layer,

Name    Lat     Long
Paris   48.85661        2.352222
Lyon    45.76404        4.835659
Marseille       43.27721        5.291468

I get this error:

-Can't load the layer citiesdatatest
-The layer don't has a geometry column

What else do I need?

Thanks.
