HI William. I got the BookSense xt because I thought that since it now has features the standard does not GW Micro might continue with that tradition by adding features that is unique to the xt. My decision was influenced by the dealer I bought it from because they are selling it for $399 including shipping until September 30th. The dealer is Adaptive Information Systems Inc. I got a unit that wasn't working correctly so I had to send it back to GW Micro for repares. However, during my brief time with it I loved the internal storage. I Foound that I can store a lot of my audio books on the xt and use the sd card for music. The fm radio is another feature I liked because when I want to listen to a station I can do so. Keep in mind that the radio will only recieve good reception if headphones or something is connected to it. Hopes this helps.
