Hi,
If one had downloaded the first release of the v1.1 firmware, you would have
the build dated 8-6-09.
If you waited a week or two after that, you would have gotten the same v1.1,
but it had a build date of 8-14-09.
Don't know exactly how much different the two versions were or are, but you
are correct in saying that it could be a bit confusing.
I am still using the V1.0 (original version) on my standard model.

Maybe it's a matter of which firmware version everyone has. Folks might
want to specify the firmware version when they report issues.
BTW, I thought I saw someplace that there were two versions of the 1.1
firmware. Could that be possible? Not a good idea if there are two
different versions with the same version number, so maybe I mis-read or
mis-remembered something I saw on this list some time back.

My XT seems to say volume correctly with both voices.

I have the "XT" model. Maybe that's something that happened just
with those models.
