Hello
I deleete the file on the flash disk but the name remains. I am told there is no file if I try to enter on the name. I don't have any problem deleting with the sd card. What could be the difference?

Hi,
I can also reproduce this. I keep hidden and system files visible in every folder on my computer and can verify that the folders don't always delete and there are no hidden or system files present. Actually, the last time this happened, I was trying to delete a line-in recording I had made on the Book Sense internal storage. The individual file would not delete until I pulled the battery. Recording settings were MP3 stereo and 44.1. So the problem doesn't seen to be limited to just folders.

Hello. What methods did you use to verify there were no hidden or system
files in the folder? If you use the right method and there were really
no files or folders with the system or hidden attribute set, then we
need to explore this further because currently that's the only reason
why the BookSense would not delete a folder when not connected to a PC.

Many thanks.

HI folks. In an email to the list earlier in the week Raul said that a
folder still remains on the flashdisk after it is deleted because it
has hidden files in it that the BookSense can't read so the only way
to delete the folder is with a computer. Personally I've deleted
folders with daisy NLS books and they still remain on the flashdisk
after deletion. I would then reset or delete with a PC but then the
problem would occur again. I know for a fact that the folder is empty
because I checked before I deleted it with my computer. My suggestion
to GW Micro is reguardless of whether the folder in question has
hidden files or not the BookSense will delete it. This problem of a
folder remaining on my BookSense has only occured on the flashdisk and
not on the sd card. Have any of you experienced this? Thanks.

HI Raul. I varified the folder did not have any hidden files that the
BookSense can't read by connecting it to my pc. I then went into the
folder in question and sure enough it was empty. Another time when a
folder remained on the flashdisk after deletion I took out the battery
then reinserted it after 30 seconds. After that the folder deleted but
eventually this happened again. On the old unit that I sent back this
problem occured as welll. I think that I'm not the only one with this
problem so I hope it can be resolved soon. Thanks.
