I have the Book Sense XT. I also have the 1.1 firmware version.

I use the Kurzweil 11.03 program to scan documents and books. I've noticed when I convert a ".kes" document to Daisy format, and transfer it to the BookSense, that every time the Book Sense encounters an apostrophe, it says number 39, and then finishes pronouncing the rest of the word. There's also an instance occasionally when the Book Sense reads some other kind of character in the document as "one fifty-one".

That can get really annoying.

I realize that I can always save the document in another format, so it's not that big a deal. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Kim Lingo
