Hi Robert,
I have seen several replies to your question on the list so far.
I will repeat what most of them have boiled down to.
The quickest and easiest way for you to get the file onto the Book Sense for
listening is for you to go to the GW website, download the file, letting it
go to the default download folder, which, if you are using XP, will most
likely be the "My Documents" folder.
Once the download is completed, you can then close your browser and go to
the desktop.
Once there, open "My Documents", find and highlight the file you just
downloaded and use Control C to copy it into the clipboard.
Now close "My Documents" and go back to the desktop.
Find "My Computer" and press enter on it to open the list of drives.
If your Book Sense is an XT model, you should see 2 extra drives listed on
the list of drives.
Choose one of them and press enter on it.
Now arrow down to the "Podcast" folder and press enter on it to open it.
Now press Control V to paste the downloaded file into the folder from the
clipboard.
Now the file should be in the "Podcast" folder the next time you turn on the
Book Sense and use the top left button to open the "Media" player.
Arrow down to "Podcasts" and then press the right arrow to open it.
If the new fil is the only one in that folder, you will hear its name and
you can then press the play or OK button to start it playing.
This is by far the simpliest way to do what you want.
Personally, I *NEVER* change the folder into which I download files. I
created a folder on a drive other than the system drive on my computer
called "Downloads" and every file I download goes into that folder.
This makes it much simpler, as, when one is changing the folder into which
one downloads files each time, one can easily get foulded up if one forgets
to change it the next time and forgot to look at where the file was going to
be put.
In any case, I certainly hope that this set of instructions has been of some
help to you.
Rod

Subject: [GW-Booksense] Question about downloading to the Booksense
I keep asking this question but can't get an answer. Perhaps I am not
making myself clear?
Per directions for downloading the booksense training session which is on
the GW Micro web site,
"If you want to download it, make sure to
open a context menu, and select "Save Target As"
What is the next step? How do I save the MP3 to the booksense?
