Just the point I was making in my previous message. Besides, if it
turns itself off and you turn it on, it makes quite a noise when it
powers up.

anymore than the book reading itself would.
If you didn't fall asleep, it's much easier to be notified that the
sleep timer is about to shut off the machine and do something about
it, than to have to turn the machine back on.
