Hi! I just want to start by saying that I'm not writing this to complain. I
just want to report what happened so that maybe it will be fixed in a future
firmware release, if not the one coming out soon.
I was listening to part two of the audible book And Another Thing, book 6 of
the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy series. I was at the 1 hour 5 minutes
marke in the file. I remember that because it was the information I was trying
to learn when the crash occurred. I was trying to hit the 0 key to see how far
I was in the file, and accidently hit the cancel button instead. No big deal. I
hit play and all seemed fine. Then, I hit 0 and heard the1 hour 5 minute thing.
Fine. I hit play again to resume reading, and it read for a few seconds and
then went silent. No CD type studdering or anything, just silence. I hit
play/pause, and nothing happened. I tried switching modes, and again, nothing
happened. No keys were responding at all. I ended up taking out the battery for
30 seconds and putting it back in. Everything seems perfectly fine now, but I
still wanted to report it just in case it's something that can get looked into.
Even assuming that it's too late to squash this particular bug, assuming it is
a bug, for the firmware that's getting ready to be released, I wanted to
describe what happened as thoroughly as possible so that it can get fixed
eventually.
The incident is still fairly fresh in my mind, so if you need any additional
details, please feel free to ask.
Thank you very much for your time, and I hope that you're having a really great
day!
Missy
