ah! Now this is a really nice new feature! As someone who has a ridiculous number of books in the nls, audible and mp3 folders, I can see myself using this a lot. The trick, of course, is knowing what number the file you're looking for is. I'm also really happy to hear that the delete function is being moved to a long press of the number 3. Like you said, it's more consistent, and also will be helpful for those of us who are former Stream users. Making delete a long press in any case is a good idea, just so one is less likely to delete something by accident. Very very nice feature! Thanks for sharing it, and I hope that you had a really great Thanksgiving! Missy

I debated on whether to do a teaser or not today, but I figured, "Why not?". If you have a folder with many items in it, you will be able to quickly get to a specific item. For example, let's say that you press right arrow on a music folder and you have something like 300 sub-folders in it, each representing a CD you ripped into your BookSense. Let's also say that you want to play folders 47, 147, and 247. Currently you can use the up arrow, down arrow, 1, 4, 2, 5, or 3, and 6 keys to navigate around. However when you want to reach specific item numbers, even this can get tedious. With the new BookSense firmware you will be able to press the number 8 key while browsing files and folders and then use the keypad to enter in which item number you want to move to. So when I first go into the Music folder which contains 300 sub-folders in it, I can press 8 and then type 47 and then the OK button. I'm now instantly at item 47 of 300. I can select it with the 9 key as usual. Now I press 8 again and type 147 and press OK. Now I'm at item 147 and can press the 9 key to select. Once all the items are selected, I can simply press the play or OK button and play those specific folders. Another use is what if I'm in the NLS folder and I have 150 books and I want to quickly reach book 99. I simply press the 8 key and type 99 and press OK and bingo, I'm at item 99 and can now press play on it to load the book. Since the number 8 key is now used to move to a specific index item, the delete item key has been relocated to the long press of the number 3. This makes it more consistent with deleting a mark within a book or file. So while you are in the file browser, press the number 3 for 2 seconds and the BookSense will prompt you to delete the item. We are much closer to getting the new firmware out and will keep you updated as we have updates to give. Happy Thanks Giving! -- Raul A.
