Hi! I can't comment on your suggestion regarding the setting of marks as that
isn't a feature I use, but I'm totally with you about the previewing of
recorded files. It's a nice feature, but I don't see why it can't be made a
menu option in the record menu or something. Like you, I can't imagine needing
to preview each file, but I'm sure it would come in handy for a lot of folks,
so it should be a switchable option.
In any case, it sounds like the new firmware is going to be really great, and
I'm sure I'll be happy with it no matter what they end up doing.

Subject: [GW-Booksense] thoughts about teasers

HI folks. I really liked the Thanksgiving teaser. I can invision
myself using it a lot. I would like to address last week's teaser.
Raul said that when browsing through the items in the record folder we
can hear the first 5 seconds of the files. I would like the ability to
able or or disable this feature. I don't see a practical use for this
feature but some might so if the feature can be turned off for those
of us who won't use it and left on for those who like it that would be
great. A suggesting I would like to give is a revision to how
bookmarks are set. Currently when you press the 1 key the BookSense
asks for a number. I would rather if when I press the 1 key the
BookSense will tell me what number mark is set. For example if I'm
setting a mark in a book and press the 1 key it will say mark 1 set.
If this feature is implemented setting marks would be faster and
people can still use the number 2 key to move quickly to marks. Thanks
all for reading and I would appreciate your thoughts on what I ranted
about.

Louis
