I've also noticed this. Also, if the battery is low enough, you need
to plug the unit in to do a reset.

if it will help you, you can sometimes avoid having to use the toothpick by
removing the battery and waiting ten seconds before replacing it. I believe
it acts like a reset, and it may be easier for you to manage.

I too, am having a lot of trouble with my book sense. The book sense won't
recognize my computer and today I can't get any sound when I turn it on or
off. I am having trouble doing resets because my fingers jerk.
I like the book sense when it works but I am always waiting for the other
shoe to drop because as soon as I think everything is fine something else
happens.
Yes, I have trouble doing resets but one shouldn't be required every time I
turn around.
I hope the new firmwear will make the book sense more stable.
I am glad I have a stream and will go back to it.
