Hi Synthia,

I believe you can put the upgrade .bin files either place, but I recommend putting them on the SD card.

You will not lose any data during the upgrade. You will, however lose any settings that you have made to the different programs. The new firmware will eliminate this problem in future upgrades with the new backup and restore feature for saving settings.

Subject: [GW-Booksense] questions: upgrading booksense XT firmware

Hi.
I may not upgrade my booksense XT firmware until after the holidays. I have a few questions regarding the upgrading process: 1. I am using the booksense XT. Should I extract the firmware files to the root of the flash disk or the root of the SD card? 2. Will I lose the data that is currently on the flash disk of my booksense (recordings, files, etc.) when I upgrade? Will I lose the data on my SD card?

I think that's all I need to know. Thank you.
