Rod, I believe you are right. I don't think the headphone volume was changed. As Raul said, there were some problems with too loud volume for the speaker to handle without possible problems.

If you add a good pair of noise cancelling earphones you will never have any trouble hearing what is playing! I am of the opinion, and it is my own opinion only, that it would have been better to name a new folder "Media" instead of "Movies" as it is a broader and less constrictive name for what the player actually does, play "Media". Then we could just create any sub folders we want in the Media folder and more accurately sort our types of media. I am extremely pleased that the Playlist now actually work again! However, it would be nice to have playlists, and only playlists, resume where we left off when we go back to a particular playlist to start it up again. I am extremely happy about the fact that I will no longer have to combine all of the tracks from a CD audio book that has been ripped to a hundred or more tracks in order to play it on the unit and place a book mark in it!
