You can put me down with Chip in this regard. I would still bite even if I
had to purchase an XT to do it. The Trekker I had was not only too darned
complicated for me, it was absolutely incapable of holding its software no
matter what I did and was a royal pain in the fanny even keeping it plugged
in.
I would be willing to work with or test any possibilities in this regard
without hesitation.

If you're looking for customer interest to get this project evaluated,
then
please mark me down as one who's interested. it sounds to me like you
could
save thousands over the price of a voice sense and sense nav, and if you
had
no desire for a voice sense, that seems like a great idea; especially as
I'm
not impressed with the Trekker, it's only possible competition.
and since many gps receivers have a usb interface, it wouldn't have to be
limitted to the BS XT, unless the 4gb of extra memory must play a part.

Actually Mike Lawler pointed out that there may not need to be any as long
as the BookSense could handle the SenseNav program. If its CPU and RAM can
handle it, then the BookSense XT already could be modified to pair with
the
GPS receiver.
So perhaps none. And hey, I've been wrong before, so keep this message
handy
to remind me.

Raul,
I'm curious as to what hardware changes you had in mind? assuming you
would be using an external gps receiver, many of which have a
bluetooth interface, and the rest have a usb interface, I don't see
why any hardware would need changing?

Hello. People has asked and there has been speculation, but I doubt
this would be possible since it would most likely require hardware
changes.
This would mean that your current BookSense would not be able to use GPS.
There are already other GPS solutions such as a Voice Sense with
SenseNav.
In Addition, the BookSense is marketed as an accessible book reader
and music player.
Many thanks.

Hello.
Did someone on here say that GWMicro was looking into a future
release that would include GPS? If so... I'll love my Booksense even
more!
