I'm not a big fan of windows media player, so I'm afraid I won't be much help
there.

As far as transfering music files to the booksense, I use copy and paste.

You mentioned some unlabeled files? Lately, I've been using winamps label
feature for this. So far, it is working out great! You can do one track at a
time or auto label a bunch of tracks.

Winamp needs to be open, hit alt-3 for the file info. If the info is blank or
incorrect, tab down to auto label. This may be alt-a, but I'm not sure. It'll
take a few seconds, but the database will try to fill in the information. If
you like it, hit ok.

Alternatively, say you have a entire folder of music you aren't sure about.
Hit your context menu on that folder and select play in winamp. Once in
winamp, hit alt-e for the playlist editor to show. Control-tab to the playlist
editor. Hit control-a to select all, then route your mouse over, (make sure
your mouse is over one of the tracks,) and right click. Arrow down to send
to, then to auto label. That'll bring up the same window as early showing your
file info. This time it'll cycle through all your files, and you ok them all.

Sorry, if my directions sound complicated, it's pretty easy once you get the
hang of it.

and book sense music files?

For the most part, I just use Windows Explorer to copy files and folders over
to my booksense.

I do use Winamp to manage my podcasts, so I do use Winamp to copy my podcasts
over to my booksense.

I also just used Windows Media Player to copy a large chunk of my music
library over to my Booksense. I could have used Windows Explorer, but I didn't
want to copy over all of the JPG's that Windows Media Player places in your
music folders. I'm sure I also could have used Winamp, but I was in a hurry and
I figured out how to do what I wanted in Windows Media Player before I did in
Winamp.

    Hello All,

I wonder if we can have a discussion on what programs people are using to
organize music on their book sense players. It would be very helpful to me.
I would like to find a program that is user friendly, and has a good user
manual to figure it out.
I have some unlabeled music files, and would like to know what to do to
name the files.

    Thank you.
