I've been using the firmware version 2.0 on my booksense XT for 3 weeks
now and I'm very happy with it. I have noticed one consistent behavior
that I'd like to describe here; I wonder if anyone else has experienced
this. With my record preview feature turned on, just about anytime I
navigate through the recordings folder, instead of stopping the preview
and announcing the filename at the 5 second mark, the booksense will
make an electronic clicking sound and continue to play the recording in
its entirety, clicking at five second intervals. Once the clicking
starts If I let the recording play through and arrow down through the
recordings folder, all of the files exhibit this behavior. If I let the
recording play through, then press the left arrow to navigate out of
the recordings folder, I hear a different sort of click and the
booksense becomes unresponsive, prompting a reset; I remove the battery
and that fixes things until the next day. Is the record preview feature
meant for long files? The types of recordings I make are usually short
to do lists and notes. They are generally under a minute in length. My
solution was to turn off the recording preview feature. I hope I have
described this clearly; let me know if I can explain anything more clearly.
