You woldn't necessarily have problems with the carrier -- it would be just 
one more phone manufacturer for them to deal with.
But you make a g ood point about problems in one function (such as the 
booksense part) would necessitate losing the phone for a while, and vice 
versa. So  I prefer 2 little gadgets.  Another thing no one has mentioned is 
that you may want to have the phone available and functioning while you are 
listening to something on the booksense.  Definitely this would be a problem 
on a single merged unit.

Wouldn't you also get in to cell phone carier problems?  I also think
the more something does, the more problems there can be.  I had to send
my book sense back to gw.  The book sense has come quite a ways but it
still has a ways to go to become more stable.
