You can probably hear a sample on the nextup.com website or even freedom scientific under the realspeak solo direct voices. Unfortunately, that wouldn't necessarily portray the horror that is Samantha since she doesn't sound quite as scary for the pc as she does on mobile devices like cell phones and the victor. Like I said, though, it's subjective, but she's definitely one of those voices that either you will love or hate; dont' think there's much middle ground with Samantha. I try to avoid Samantha at all costs; even my mom and dad's GPS uses samantha, and it makes me cringe. She just sounds evil to me. But, as you said, everyone has different preferences when it comes to text to speech voices.
