Its not the Booksense but Windows that handles dirve letter assignments. There is a fix. Assign the letters of choice to the BS. However, if you plug another device in and then connect the BS, those assigned letters will go to the device that was connected ahead of the BS. The BS could care less what Windows does.

Hi -- I just discovered something about my booksense -- I plugged it into
the computer to install some nls files and the 2 drives appeared on my
computer -- only they were not adjacent -- I had recently disconnected the
divice at drive letter f:, and drive letter g: was in use.  Instead of
picking drivers h: and i: for the booksense flash and memory cards,
booksense drives showed up as f: and h:, therefore not consecutive.
I know this is probably to be expected, but for those who have wondered
about allocation of drive letters, this shows the booksense doesn't make
assumptions of the drive letters being consecutive.
