Hi all, hope that subject doesn't offend anyone, but it aptly describes my
booksense. *smile*

Saturday night, I notice the bs acting a bit oddly. When I turned it on to
listen to my nls book, there was no chime for power on. I thought this was a
little weird, but I didn't give it much thought and my book read fine.

This part, I can't fully remember, but I don't believe there was a chime for
power off either that night.

The next day, same behavior. No chime either way, but I finished my book and
deleted it. No problem.

Sense things were a little off, I decided to remove the battery for a few
seconds and put it back in.

Later I took out my sd to get a new book. When ready to begin listening, that
is where the dead part of this email comes into play.

The bs wouldn't do a thing. No voices no chimes. The light in the corner
would respond to reset attempts and I could hear barely a static type noise
from the speaker.

Other than this, nothing. We tried all the resets and troubleshooting tips we
could find.

It was then I remembered the reinstall firmware via the sd card trick. gwmicro
had taught me this last Autumn and it worked!

I had to google it to fully remember, but we successfully revived the booksense!

Thank goodness for this method, sometimes it seems like the only thing to get
the booksense back to life.

I'm glad this has only happened twice; what a fluke and a mistery!

Just thought I'd share my story. Lol, I'm so pleased I don't go into panic
mode when my booksense acts up. For the first 6 months, I panicked at any
little odd behavior. This was a big purchase for me afterall. *smile*

Still loving her booksense!
