Hello all. Ok I should have reviewed the manual where pretty much it answers my original Q below. Answer is yes. I still would like to know if its normal for the 3.5mm or 1/8 inch jack to fit bit loose in the line-in socket compared to the adjacent headphone socket.

Now if I connect one end of the cord to the female headphone socket on my laptop. the other end to the line-in socket on my BS and hit the record button on the BS will the BS record the streaming audio off my laptop? Second, would someone pl confirm the line-in socket on the BS takes 3.5mm jacks coz when I insert a 3.5mm headphone jack there just to check it out it kinda fits bit looser than in the adjacent headphone socket. BTW, B$ u say 'hey why don't u just try this and see if it works' to those I say ' Hey I haven't bought the cord with the 3.5mm male jacks at either end yet and will do so only if I know the above works'.
