Subject: Extreme sluggishness with the new ECI Eloquence.

  Hello Everyone,

After running this beta for almost a day now, I have to say that, indeed, ECI
Eloquence is generally quite sluggish in comparison with the implementation
provided in JAWS. When I switch to DEC-Talk Access 32, reading speeds up
considerably. Alas, I just can't stand the audio qualities of that speech
engine... :-(

I sincerely hope there are ways GW Micro can address this concern with
Eloquence but, as mentioned last night on Main Menu, I'm wondering if we're
just going to have to live with this arrangement?

I am noticing that Eloquence is quite snappy when typing; the sluggishness
seems to be restricted to reading from the screen.
