We don't plan on changing this. When we removed control punctuation
this was a side affect, but it makes control keys consistant with the
way that other modifiers such as alt have always behaved. Sometimes
too many options cause more problems then they resolve.

instances. Is there anyway this feature can be turned off so it's
just silent when you press the key? It's no big deal, but it does
