Sometimes you can google the name of the control that you get in the
reclass dialog. If reclassing doesn't work then you either have to
use mouse keys or scripting to improve accessibility to the
control. Some controls have COM interfaces that you can talk to
directly and others don't. Again google might have useful information.

This reminds me. WHen you don't know what a custom control does,
what resources are available for you? Here's an example.
Realtech HD audio comes with the realtech audio manager. This is at
first look a very inaccessible application. Some of the custom
controls have usable names sometimes, but, for example, the trackbar
controls read 0 of 0 when you reclassify them. Buttons just say the
word button and appear to do nothing when you press them. There's
another control that says wheel with a bunch of stuff before it
which also appears to do nothing. With scripting, I guess you can
probably fix this, but how do you know what they're supposed to
do if nothing happens when you press or click them?

Subject: Re: Problems with buttons in WE 7 Beta1
Hi. What happens if you give these buttons a custom field label
with control-insert-f?

Hi,
I have just installed Beta1 and i have noticed that Window-Eyes
don't read some buttons correctly like it did in WE 6.1.
I am using an email client called Courier. When opening the
program there are different buttons for opening a mailbox,
creating a new one and so on.
Window-Eyes just reads button, button and so on.
I haven't seen this behaviour in any other progrma as of yet.
Has anyone else experienced something simular?
Many thanks,
Christian
