One of the reasons in going with this version of ECI Eloquence was for that reason. There will no longer be any lock up issues with K-1000 users

Thanks for confirming what I had suspected. As for one who hasn't yet installed the Beta on any pc to this point, I'll keep that in mind when doing so. Doesn't sound that, at this point at least, there is any compelling reason to attempt to use the newer Eloquence. Incidentally, does the Newer Eloquence rectify the incompatability between the Eloquence shipped with K1000 ver 11 and WE?

In case it isn't immediately clear, you can still run the old Eloquence 5 on
WE7. It's just not going to ship with it anymore. But keep around an old WE
6.1 CD, make sure the old Eloquence is installed, and just leave it there and
don't worry about the new version. It's not amazingly recommended, given that
GW went with updating Eloquence for plenty of good reasons, but it's not like
WE7 won't work with the old Eloquence, if that's really what you'd like to
use.

I've only been using the beta for a short time, so don't have too many
observations other than the following. After installing the new ECI
Eloquence, and have noticed that when in the mail box menu of the
aforementioned version of Eudora, that Eloquence is very very slow in
response when pressing a letter repeatedly in order to find a particular
mail box. For example, I was able with SAPI 4 Eloquence to quickly press
the v key five times in order to reach the VRStream box in the list, but if
I go just a bit too fast, I only get to the viccug box, and am forced to
thumb my way to the VRStream box, or just keep pressing at a gingerly pace
until I finally come to the desired box. I sure hope there is a solution for
this problem, or that hopefully it is possible to go back to the SAPI 4
version, or I guess I'm just gonna have to have to use DEC Access 32, or
stop using the beta altogether, a choice I really don't want to have to
make. After all, so far I am finding the new Winamp scripting quite
interesting and potentially helpful.
