You can use a character dictionary to deal with the non-breaking space.

I am using the WE beta on a XP machine running Outlook express. The screen is maximized and things like the preview pane are turned off. When I tab to the contact list the beta will cut off the first character of the names of the entries. If you arrow down the entries it will read it wrong but if you arrow back up to it the majority of the time it will read it correctly. Not a show stopper but definite different performance over WE 6.1 Also am still annoyed over WE announcing Non breaking space if you use the arrow keys to review what you have written in a message.
