I just went to Windows Update and installed an optional root certificates updates and now placemarkers is working, though the keyboard shortcut is control K without the shift key. I had tried this keyboard shortcut before with no success. I'm not sure if the root certificates update restarted something in Internet Explorer that wasn't restarted simply by closing and re-opening it or what but it works now. I'm off to set place markers. It does, however, work in Firefox. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the IE set files but nothing changed. My IE sets are loaded and associated with Internet Explorer. I am using the default keyboard layout and I have made sure that browse mode is on. Is there a different set file or script I should try to load?
