I experienced this in WE 6.1 some and couldn't duplicate it regularly. Now
however, all I need to do is attempt to erase a portion of a line by holding
down the backspace and of course, using arrows rapidly to arrow through
information causes loss of speech as well.
this laptop seems to overheat as well and just freezes which is why I doubt any
sort of error information can be captured to send to GW Micro.

This is an HP Laptop 3.2 GHZ HT, 1G, Windows Media Center Edition, Webroot
Desktop Firewall and Spy sweeper, all applicable updates and patches.

You may be on to something. It often happens to me when I am reading a lot of
e-mail and I am quickly expanding conversations and arrowing down to the first
message in the thread. Using Outlook 2003 here. Also happens on the web some
but IE 7 and Window-Eyes haven't always played well together even in 6.1. To be
fair, I have had similar issues with IE 7 using Jaws.

  Subject: loosing speech in we7beta1

hello, i also had this happen 3 times so far. i'll just be typing and we7
stops speaking. and it seems as if the we7 is still running but not talking. it
seems it happens if i'm typing alot and fast, for example i was typing up a
long email and i was typing fast. but speech just stopped. and the only thing i
could do to restart is to reboot. it also happened when i was on the web, i
think it might be a problem, when we7 is being pushed to the limit as for how
fast your doing various tasks. if you do things very fast thats when it seems
to turn off speech. i'm not 100% sure but for me i have found the 3 times it
happened was when i was doing large documents and doing things very fast. then
speech dies.

and we7 is still running but not speaking. hopefully gw can figure out a fix.
  i am using the following.

hp dv9000t with 2gb ram core2 2.0 and windows xp pro sp3 with all updates.

it hasn't done it for a few days but i'm keeping track. try to keep track of
what your doing and how its being done when speech dies.

  thanks les
