Pages can refresh one of two ways: with a meta refresh, or with
JavaScript. Window-Eyes can block meta refresh, an NoScript can block
JavaScript. I will say, however, that the meta refresh blocking that
Window-Eyes does is not supported in Firefox. If that's how they're
doing it, you might look for another Firefox extension/add-on that can
control that behavior.
