Peter,
I recommend our weather or not script instead of the sidebar for weather
<smile>. It is much nicer and of course fully accessible.

Window-Eyes 6.1 and 7.0 work great with the Sidebar in Vista. Only 1
problem: Win + G moves you onto the next item in the Sidebar list but
doesn't announce what it is; example: I have 5 different weather
items there and Win + G only says Weather and not the local.
Microsoft doesn't send SMAA the data for WE to process.

You activate the side bar with windows-space and then use windows-g
and windows-shift-g to move through the gadgets.

I recall reading that Window-Eyes 6.1 provides access to Windows
SsideBars in Vista, but can't find any reference to that in the
manual or ReadMe file. Is there a hotkey for reading Windows SideBars?
