Yep! It does look quite differently, in the utility. In there, it shows July 04, July 10, July 12, etc. It doesn't give me the weekday, like the script does. But, no use in the script giving me weekdays that doesn't make sense, and besides, the script doesn't tell me anything about which month.

Are you sure, you didn't get that long number mixed up? Ok, no offense, just wondered, wherein the problem sits. Or, could it be because of the fact that my computer is not in the USA? I did change my time zone, and regional settings, when it arrived Europe. Could you - or someone out there - confirm if the script operates correctly in different time zones? Just don't know, so guess we are grasping a bit blindly heere. Yes, I did use the script for a system restore, but that was because my computer is less than a week old, hence not too many points to choose from, and I knew exactly what software to look out for. Unless that, I would never have been able to realize which point to go for, just from the dating in the script, as mentioned in my original message.

I'm getting this information directly from Windows. When you retrieve a date from a restore point, you get back a very long number, like:

20080711015045

As you might be able to tell, that's year, month, day, hour, minute second. I simply split that number into its various parts, and use VBScript's DateValue and Weekday methods to get the day.

I just checked all my restore points in the System Restore utility versus what's listed in the Custom System Restore dialog, and they both match. If you review the System Restore utility with the mouse, or have someone sighted review your restore points, are they in fact different?

I just downloaded, and ran, the system restore script.
To me it seems there is a reporting error in the script It shows up all my restoring points, but the point that was created two days ago (July 9, 08), shows 'Sunday 9, 2008'. The point from yesterday (july 10), shows 'Tuesday 10, 2008'. It doesn't make any sense, either way I try to figure it out. Yesterday, according to my calendar, was a Thursday; not a Tuesday. Hence, the day before was Wensday, no Sunday at all. And, what about telling me which month we are looking at?
Anyone else having this problem? Can the script be fixed?
