HelloHello. Just wanted to correct something here. You can now submit new additions to the site without creating an account. The option is available from the script. Oh, and the site won't go anywhere. I use it extensively myself, so it'll certainly be around. Would there be interest in creating a list to discuss the site, etc? I don't want it to dominate this one.

It's a damn shame it cos't so much lke it does, who knows how much it is now huh? honestly thanks for shareing this with me.At 08:06 PM 7/16/2008, you wrote: there are a few companies that sell the complete kit. the omni scanner and the software but 10 years ago it cost $1500.00 that is why i created my own DOS program and bought a logitech kkeyboard scanner for $199 i'll try to find the company but i am sure the price is still too high. ----- Original Message ----- From: Mr. Bill To: net bat Sent: Wednesday, July 16, 2008 6:54 PM Subject: Re: Envision America barcode readers? You opened my eyes here ok thanks much!At 07:53 PM 7/16/2008, you wrote: i am useing the scanner to scan in the bar code from food packages and cans into my own database. once the description is entered into the database you can scan the box or can of food to find out what you are going to eat. if you make your own barcode lables you could scan them into the database and use them to lable cd's or software cd's with there serial numbers etc. and retreive the descriptions later. ----- Original Message ----- From: Mr. Bill To: net bat Sent: Wednesday, July 16, 2008 6:11 PM Subject: Re: Envision America barcode readers? hi hey I hope I'm not being ignorant here but what is it for shopping at the store or waht?At 06:25 PM 7/16/2008, you wrote: i think that one of the biggest thing to look for besides that it is omni directional is that it will automatically send a carrage return after you scan a bar code. this is the same as pressing the enter key after each scan. some scanners do not have this feature or else they can be programmed to do this. otherwise you will have to press the enter key or maybe a button on the scanner after each scan. this would be very time consuming if you are useing your software to enter or scan your items into your own database. or scanning many items on the bcsan web site. i have a 10 year old logitech scanner and it came with 2 pages of bar codes to reprogram the scanner for odd bar codes and to turn the carrage return on or off by scanning the barcode from the instruction book. i do not know how the new scanners are reprogrammed. maybe they are all automatic? ----- Original Message ----- From: Alan R.
