Hello GW Micro Staff and all others,

I have discovered a work around to the issue I have reported against the beta
on the asu.edu/students web site. The key is to perform a manual refresh by
pressing the Insert-Backslash default "screen redraw" hotkey!

Performing the following steps make this site work every time:

1. ASU students visit http://asu.edu/students and log in, and others try out
the attached HTML file.
2. Press h until you reach the Costs and Finances heading, which is also a link.
3. Press enter on the link. itch over to JAWS 9.
4. Press Insert-Backslash (the default screen redraw hotkey) to refresh the
page in Browse Mode.
5. The new content is now displayed below the Costs and Finances heading.
Pressing enter on one of the resulting links works as expected.

I believe similar issues exist on other web sites that use AJAX-like HTML
menus. If you encounter similar behavior, just remember, the key is in the
refresh!

Subject: ASU student home page not entirely accessible with Window-Eyes 7
Public Beta 1.

  Hello Everyone,

It turns out that certain portions of the ASU Current Students home page are
not accessible with Window-Eyes 7.0 Beta 1, while they work just fine with
JAWS. Specifically, perform the following steps to attempt accessing the
various menus:

  1. ASU students visit http://asu.edu/students and log in, and others try out
the attached HTML file.
  2. Press h until you reach the Costs and Finances heading, which is also a
link.
  3. Press enter on the link. Nothing happens! Additional links are supposed to
appear.
  4. Using Window-Eyes, I am unable to pay my tuition for the fall semester!
Time to switch over to JAWS 9. :-(

Please see the attached HTML file saved from this page. I believe it will, at
least, contain the relevant code for GW Micro staff to have a look at
Window-Eyes' behavior in the menus. Since the attachment won't apparently
transmit on this list, please reply directly if anyone from GW Micro is
interested in taking a more in-depth look at this issue.
