I suggest we all write to NFB, ACB and any similar organisation out
there to draw their attention to the situation. Companies like GW are
more than just business. Wineyes is a lifeline to most of us. We
can't let FS to get away with this with impunity.

Just read the information and I think that Freedom Scientific is trying to
stay floating in any way that they can. The word placemarkers is used
throughout the world in many situations including identification of seating
areas. As to the find or recall on a page being an intellectual property
owned by someone wouldn't it be more like microsoft owning it with their
find on a page? While Microsoft does not include a hot key to get to the
place the procedure is possible.
Freedom Scientific's use of hot keys is really an interesting topic since
they themselves have changed how Windows itself behaves using some
functions. For example when inside an Outlook Express email with Window Eyes
or without a screen reader one is not able to use the delete key to delete
an email. With JAWS that is possible. Isn't the delete key a function key
unlike Control D which is a command keystroke? Isn't that kind of like
changing the structure of the Windows operating system functions?
Am glad to see that GW Micro is going to challenge this issue. Also hope
that upon GW Micro winning the case that Freedom Scientific be required to
pay all legal costs incurred by GW Micro.
