Hi jim, When the dialog first comes up you will see a read-only edit box. This edit box shows the tip. If you press shift tab once you will see a check box. It says show tips at start up. Press the space bar to uncheck this box and then press enter. Now the next time you start windw-eyes you will not see the tip of the day any more.
