Sorry could you please explain the problem you are having with vista and
working with files,  and folders?  
The only problem I have here is the list view sometimes is not in focus
after copying or moving a file and this is a easy fix.

Well I had Millennium on my computer before updating to XP.  I must say that

with Millennium the blue screen of death was a common happening.  I have 
Vista on a HP notebook and have had no blue screens in a year of usage.  My 
only complaint with Vista is not being able to manipulate files and folders 
as easily.
