try useing the arrow keys. i am seeing w e 7 2b not speaking the icon windows is on when i tab from the start menu to the desktop. i have to arrow to another icon then w e will start talking again. i can say for sure that the w e 7 b2 broke all my set files. the only way i am able to fix all my focus problems is to re install or re create all my set files all over again. i have even done something that is not recommended that is to re install the 7 b1 back over the 7 b2 version. when i did all of the set files started working again the way they were before i installed the 7 b2 version. i can do all of this because i am running the beta on a cloned removible drive. so even if it can not boot at all i can just reclone my first c drive back on to the drive and restore it back to the way it was before i installed w e 7 betas. ----- Original Message ----- From: Don H To: gwmicro Sent: Friday, August 08, 2008 2:45 PM Subject: quirk in WE beta 2
After installing the beta on a XP machine I notice this small quirk. After WE is running use the tab key to get to the desktop. In the past when on the desktop if you hit the first letter of a icon on the desktop WE would speak that Icon. For example hit the letter o and we speaks outlook Express which is on the desktop. Now I hit the letter o and it says nothing hit o again and it finally says outlook express. It appears that the first press of the letter o puts focus on the outlook express icon it just does not speak it until the second entry of the letter o. Not a big problem just a little wierd.
