Just a thought about the Skype scripts. One of the options is a check box
that allows Skype announcements to interupt speech. I tried checking that
box but found that my reading was being interupted too much by status
changes in Skype. So I unchecked that box and now the only time I receive
an announcement from Skype is if WE is not reading something else. Whether
the check box was checked or not did not ever kill speech on my machine but
when the check box is checked, reading was interupted a lot.

I have reported this issue, and I have zeroed in on the skype scripts being
the problem makers... I no longer load them because I don't want the
problem... I let mike know about it and he let aaron, the writer, of the
scripts know.
Thanks.

I have had a gut feeling for quite some time that the Skype scripts were
the
culprit but can't prove it.

Ok here is a good one how many of us who are having this issue are running
the skype scripts? The reason I ask this is I can consistently produce a
problem with turning scripts off while this script is loded and it produce
the error where window-eyes does not respond but scripting will still read
status information from the script. So con sidering the fact that this is
the problem we are all having and I am able to produce it with the skype
scripts I am wondering if they are linked.
