At work I have Office 2003 on an XP SP2 PC with 1 GB RAM.

On an occasional basis when opening up an existing document in MS Word
the speech will suddenly stop working correctly in Word. It will only
say the first syllable or so of each line and then nothing else.

The correct set file has been loaded at this stage.

If I go into other applications then speech is working correctly.
If I switch back to Word, it is still wrong.
If I close WE down and then re-start it then speech in Word has returned
to normal.

The other applications running at the time are usually Outlook 2003,
Lotus Notes, IE V6 and Windows Explorer.
There are also a number of other things in the system tray, like Nokia
PC Suite, sound manager etc.

Regards, John.
