Hi. Just open the main nero program, not the start smart and you shold
be able to register it from there.

Hi everyone. I bought Nero 8. I have it installed. the instructions for
registering it go like this:
After download and installation, you must authorize your copy of Nero 8
Ultra Edition.
1. Open the Nero 8 via the Nero StartSmart icon on your desktop.
2. Click on the Nero Fire button in the lower left hand corner of the
Nero StartSmart window.
3. Click on Tools and Control Center? Then choose the license icon in
the left panel.
4. Finally click the Add button to enter your license (serial) number
listed above in your order.
How do I do that when it does not speak, any kind of text for any
"icons" with those labels in the application? Others speak, not those,
"fire," and "add license," icons. My friend's son said there is a little
"key" looking icon for the license, but even he with sight was a little
mystified at first. What prompts my query to you folks is in the "about"
box of my Nero product there is a "name" and "company" line, with
nothing showing after them. I 'MAY' be ok, because I un installed and
reinstalled the product, putting in my license code, but what puzzled me
was I attempted to run "Nero.exe" which I think was for "Nero burning
ROM," but got a statement to "enter my code," that "this product has to
be registered first," etc.
Any ideas those of you who have purchased Nero 8? Have any of you
written private scripts for the handling of Nero start smart's vagaries
of icons which don't speak? :)
Curtis Delzer.
