Hi Jeff:

Thanks for that suggestion. After I sent this post, I looked in the
manual and there is a way to do set file associations with window
classes.

Thanks,

When you get into that part of the program that is double talking, Open
window-eyes control panel with control backslash Open the silent.000 set
file Use save as to Save the silent.000 set file--the name you save it
under doesn't matter, so you might just use the suggested default for
that program.
When prompted to confirm association, say yes and you should be all set.
Hope this helps.

Subject: Set File Associations

Hello All:

I am running Window-Eyes Version 6.0 and Kurzweil 1000, Version 11. I
want to use the Kesi Fax and Photo Copy applications available as
launchable items from the Kurzweil File menu. The problem I am having
is that when I go into Fax or Photo Copy, Window-Eyes starts using the
standard wineyes.000 set file. What this means is I have two voices
talking to me, Kurzweil's Fax or Photo Copy application which are self
voicing and Window-Eyes.

My question is, how can I set up the Kesi Fax and Photo Copy
applications to associate the silent.000 set file so that when they come
up, Window-Eyes remains silent just as it does when Kurzweil 1000 itself
is running? Any help will be greatly appreciated as I've just forgotten
how to do set file associations.

Thanks,
