I can also reproduce the problem. I myself have UAC turned on and when my comp boots up like the rest of you that aare having this problem and need UAC turned on, we starts by itself. However, if you turn it off, you can press control+alt+W to turn Window-Eyes on. ----- Original Message ----- From: jim grimsby Jr. To: 'Steve Pattison' Cc: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, September 06, 2008 3:05 AM Subject: RE: Window-Eyes not Starting Automatically when User Account Control is Turned Off
I would not call it a major bug but yes I can reproduce this. From: Steve Pattison [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, September 06, 2008 12:24 AM To: GW Info Subject: Window-Eyes not Starting Automatically when User Account Control is Turned Off I'm running Vista Home Premium with Window-Eyes 7.0 beta 3. I am having a problem where Window-eyes isn't starting automatically when my computer starts if I have User Account Control turned off. As soon as I turn User Account Control on Window-Eyes starts automatically when I start my computer. I have tried turning all scripts off and this didn't fix the problem. I have no desire to have User Account Control turned on as I am happy with the third-party security applications I'm using. I know this issue has been mentioned before. I hope GW Micro can fix this problem before the final release of WE 7.0 as I think it is a very major bug in Window-Eyes. Thank you.
